The Mission
Create a more comprehensive request form that enables teambuilders to address requests immediately.
The teambuilding* request form was originally a slack workflow with very limited information, requiring teambuilders to consistently follow up with submitters to acquire additional context. They needed a more comprehensive form that empowered them to immediately address and resolve requests.
*Teambuilding was the term used at IDEO for staffing designers onto projects.
Lisa’s Impacts
Conducted research interviews to understand the current state and process, including identifying themes and insights to inform the design.
Tested various tools to identify the best option that could integrate with their current systems.
Proposed the need for a new form to meet the user and business needs.
Prototyped the new form for feedback and improvements to the design.
Implemented the new form without disrupting business workflow.
Communicated and led the change through narrative presentation, creation of resources, and hosting office hours.
Outcomes
Increased efficiency in the teambuilding workflow as teambuilders are provided with enough information to address the requests more quickly.
Decreased amount of manual updates of database through implementation of automations.
