Bringing 84 alumni together to celebrate 2020 graduates

The Mission

Retain and increase alumni and community engagement during the pandemic year.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, it proposed a new challenge for any fundraising teams to retain and increase engagement, let alone ask for donations, during a financially and emotionally difficult time. They needed a reason to bring the community together and remind them of the power of music.


Lisa’s Impacts

  • Proposed and led the curation of the virtual alumni orchestra to celebrate the 2020 graduates.

  • Served as the point of contact for the 300 alumni the office reached out to to partake in this initiative.

  • Recorded the click track to help the 84 alumni create recordings of their own parts to fit together.

  • Collaborated closely with the marketing team to create the virtual presentation.

  • Wrote and published an article showcasing the alumni orchestra and its purpose.

Outcomes

  • 84 alumni across the globe participated in the virtual orchestra.

  • Rekindled alumni relationships with the institution.

  • Reached over 8K views on Youtube.
